big companies can afford to pay for a lot of prints on more expensive materials like canvas. these are usually larger and easy for the average person to afford. they’re also always available and are easily seen in stores.

These guys are smart enough to operate a camera and artsy enough to apply the rule of thirds. they can quickly snap a pic of people, pets and wildlife which are the things that are most often asked for in a customer artwork. Photos are also easily reproduced so they can be sold more then once.

Cosmetic surgeons have been spending a considerable amount of money on digital marketing (specifically social media marketing). Since these surgeons are actual medical professionals, many would put more value into what they are saying as opposed to getting advice from a consultant.
Since the surgeons advertising their clinics will hardly be objective, I believe my business will stand out since we are independent consultants and unbiased.
Real Self has built an excellent online community of surgeons, reviewers and individuals interested in cosmetic surgery. It is completely free to become a member. A membership gives you access to reviews posted other members regarding their own experiences with specific surgeons. You can also post questions which are then answered by accredited cosmetic surgeons.
Although Real Self can be a great source of information, it is far from perfect. There are many fake reviews on that site which doctors have paid for in order to increase their ratings. There have also been instances of doctors burying the negative reviews of them (left by real patients) with fake reviews as well. My business will be entirely objective with thorough research applied to each client’s case.

Students need a viable means of getting to their internship and on time.
I think Uber would be a reliable source for the student to get to and from their local internships considering that many students are too young to drive or parents are not able to provide them with a car. I would introduce a tracking system via the WiseIntern app that allows the student and driver to record when the student is being picked up and dropped off to and from their destination. I think this would be an added feature for parents as it shows that we are considering the students safety.
Uber Transport might be incentivized by partnering with WiseIntern since more students means that there are a lot more people using the service and offering ride-share. Our goal would be to cover this program through sponsorships from other partners and the government so it is offered to the student for free or at a reduced cost which can be paid through the employer.
In order to grow this program to the level which we envision it to become, we would need to branch with the government to receive funding support and greater facilitation.
Offering parents/families a way to get their high school teens into simulated internships beginning at the age of 15 not only helps increase participation and graduation rates but it helps show that we support students with their career objectives. The WiseIntern app allows students to complete surveys and tests that then matches them with interested employers and the portal also encourages them to easily reach out to professionals and seek mentorship. Since so many students feel confusion or a lack of sense of direction when it comes to selecting a career, we think this would be a great service-based solution.
The ability to make this program a requirement for high school students in order to help them earn adequate work experience would be a true mission for our company as we feel it would really lead to many positive attributions for the student, the employer and the greater economic society. We intend to reach out to the school boards and write a request for proposal in order to gain consideration for this. We would seek permission from Canadian and US school boards in order to make this transition.
I think the best incentive would be that we are attempting to decrease unemployment rates by allowing more young people to start working and contributing their part to the economy. Sheridan has great recording spaces and also has a musical theatre program that is really big. I’ve met students in that program that want to release music, but that’s not a part of their program. They don’t have the tools to produce and release their own music, but they are insanely talented and capable as musicians.
Similarly to NSCC, we would create great promotion for Sheridan- not only for their students that we produce, but also for their Music Scoring for Screen and Stage graduate program, which I am graduating from this summer.
Deep Roots is a music festival held in Wolfville, NS every fall. It is a huge success and draws crowds from all over the province. Deep Roots has always had a strong focus on community, and in a similar way to Music in Communities, runs community programming that would be an incredible way for us to get more outreach and meet clients.
Like Music in Communities, we are not competitors, but two business who’s values align and who would benefit mutually from a collaboration with each other.
This is another organization that’s core value is to make music accessible. They have a strong community of musicians of all levels and backgrounds who would potentially benefit from our services.
A collaboration with Halifax Music Coop would be a great promotion for us both.

I’d like to do the odd beading workshop with the kids who regularly attend their programs, camps, etc. For example, I could do a DIY aqua bead sea animal figure workshop with the younger kids. The workshop could happen in the spring time, prior to the beginning of summer camps.
I think they’d appreciate a licensed recreation professional and small business owner with autism and mental health issues to host a DIY beading workshop that would be adaptive, fun, creative, easy, and stress-free.
Since Kayla’s Children’s Centre is a therapeutic centre for children with a wide range of special needs, hosting the odd creative workshop would give the children a chance to be creative and let their imaginations go wild!
I’d like to host the odd DIY workshop that’d mainly cater to children, teens, women, and young families. For example, I could host a DIY beaded frog keychain workshop for kids ages 4-12 before Passover. I could also host a Hanukkah-themed beaded mosaic painting workshop for kids ages 4-12.
I’ve had a strong relationship with Beth Sholom Synagogue since I was a young girl. The people know me very well there, and I’m even an employee there. Since they know how dedicated, outgoing, and creative I am, hosting the odd DIY workshop would be an asset to that! The synagogue doesn’t really do DIY beading workshops, so it’ll be something new for them to look into!
I’d like to host the odd DIY beaded mosaic art workshop and class for school-aged children and teens. For example, I could host a youth Rosh Hashana-themed beaded mosaic art making workshop before Rosh Hashana starts.
I’m not a congregant of Beth Emeth, but I know of the shul, because I know people who are/were congregants of the synagogue. I believe that it’ll be nice for them to have someone come in and do workshops and classes that don’t take place in the synagogue. Kids and teens love both visual art and beading, so why not have a workshop that leverages the two?! They’ll also be able to learn a new skill that they can share with their families, friends, and other people they know.
I’d like to host an odd jewellery/bracelet making workshop for the women who are part of the Women’s Circle. For example, I could host a Judaic-themed jewellery making workshop on a Sunday afternoon in the spring. The ladies would learn how to craft their own Judaic-themed jewellery using pliers, jump rings, lobster clasps, Jewish-themed jewellery charms, etc.
It would be good for them to find a local business who is skilled in not just program/workshop facilitation but also in arts and crafts. Since I am Jewish, having someone who is culturally-sensitive would be a plus to their community. I’m not religious, but I’d have a lot to offer in terms of Judaic-themed DIY jewellery making workshops.
I’d like to host a wide range of DIY jewellery making, keychain making, and beaded mosaic art workshops for children, teens, women, and young families. For example, I could host a Passover-themed beaded mosaic art workshop for teenage girls and their mothers to attend. I could also host a Rosh Hashanah-themed jewellery making workshop for women to attend prior to the holiday.
I don’t know anyone who visits Lodzer Centre Congregation, but having a small business owner/operator with a background in Recreation and Leisure Services to come in and host a wide range of beading workshops would be an asset to them. I’m sure they don’t get a lot of people who can lead some cool beading workshops, so having at least one resource would be good for them. It will also give people a chance to learn a new skill and hobby that they can develop and pass onto their families, especially during Hanukkah where gift giving is common.
John Bead and Craft Outlet sells a variety of beads, craft supplies, costume making supplies, jewellery making supplies, and other art supplies, which gives makers a large selection of things to purchase for their upcoming project! Many of the supplies are affordable, and there are regular sales and discounts on luxury items such as certain gemstone beads. Seniors who are outlet members get 5%, as well and an additional 10% off on products every Thursday. Educators and students also get 5% off, as well as an additional 10% off if they are outlet members.
