This extensive natural makeup line, which was recently launched at Shoppers Drug Mart, has us in awe of its performance (and its pretty rose gold accented packaging). We love how details like online shade matching and affordable price points make Nude by Nature accessible to a wide audience, and encourages new customers to #gogreen.

With so many gorgeous products to choose from our top pick was tough, but we’re particularly partial to the Perfecting Primer (spreads easily and dries quickly), and the light glowing coverage of the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation (designed with a plug in the lid to prevent messy purse spills).

RMS Beauty
We’re long-time fans of legendary makeup artist and RMS Beauty founder Rosemary Swift and her clean-as-they-come cosmetic line. The pots of colour and cover-ups are not just easy to apply (a finger swipe is all you need), but the products themselves are created with raw, food-grade ingredients to nourish and rejuvenate the skin.

Our pick for spring is their Signature Set Mod Palette, which conveniently combines Swift’s cult favourites (Master Mixer, Living Luminizer, Simply Cocoa Lip & Skin Balm, and Lip2Cheek) in the prettiest of peachy brights.

Kjaer Weis
If you’re a sucker for stylish presentation like we are, then you’ll love Kjaer Weis. One of the most beautiful brands in the cosmetics biz, the company appears to effortlessly blend luxury and sustainability. Certified natural and/or organic ingredients, on-trend tones, and an air of classic elegance can be found in each performance-driven product.

We’re smitten with the brand’s lip gloss in Courage, a sweet springtime shade of coral — it swipes on smooth and luscious, and is refillable (just save the lid!) for added eco-sensibility.

Zorah Biocosmétiques
To say we’re a little obsessed with this Montreal-based organic beauty brand would be an understatement. They may be one of our newer natural makeup discoveries, but we are already happily addicted to their argan oil-infused, high-end beauty line.

Our favourites for spring are hands down the Corrective Concealer (packaged in a familiar clickable wand, making it easy to apply just the right amount of coverage), and the volumizing mascara, which is scented as beautifully as it performs.

Victoria Radford
Victoria Radford’s namesake all-natural makeup line encompasses everything we love about green beauty: clean and nourishing formulas, extensively tested, and created with a flawless look of luxury.

For spring, we’ll be rocking a sweet trio of foundation sticks from the Toronto-based eco-chic brand: a shimmery base aptly named Pearl, followed by a soft lift of Warm foundation, and finished with a subtle swipe of Light Contour for that covetable no-makeup-look.

W3ll People

Founded by three artist sisters, Rituel de Fille celebrates the power and beauty of natural ingredients, and is one of our favourite ways to enhance our own personal magic.

From pots of pretty shimmer to soft pastels and creamy brights, we love this natural makeup brand for a little added sparkle to our daily makeup routine.

There are thousands of not millions of artists selling in the world, with the internet it’s possible to purchase from someone in another country. I know the niche I chose is underdeveloped because I couldn’t find any notable individual landscape artists through my internet searches! I found a handful of drawings for sale but there are very few. I also noticed there are many landscape artists on instagram, but they don’t seem to be engaged with political affairs from what I can tell. Here is generally who sells art and my competition:

There are currently only a couple of competitors from around the world who target the same goal, consisting of Virtu Size, Metail and True fit. While these companies are attempting to solve similar problems in the industry, ChangeRoom’s software and business model are different. Virtu Size allows customers to compare their chosen online item’s dimensions with a previous clothing item bought which fits, therefore helping them choose the right size for the new item. Metail enables a shopper to choose a body model from a selection of pre-made models, giving the ability to try on different clothes with the recommended size. However, the user is required to enter their height, weight, bra size (if applicable), body type, inner leg type to personalize the model, making the process impersonal and inconvenient. Currently, True Fit is ChangeRoom’s biggest competitor, as it is a well-established business working some of the largest brands in the world: including Levis, Under Armour and Macy’s. The software comprises of a quiz asking the user for their age, weight, gender, height, and brand preferences. From this data, its algorithms recommend a size estimate with a “true fit rating”. This quiz takes about two minutes and about five minutes to create a full user profile which is quite long.

Teespring, Threadless, Printify through Shopify; clothing retailers such as H&M, ZARA, online big guys such as shein. Then also local screen printers, Floodway and PRintedShirts.ca, and there are a few local DTG printers, but their websites and interface don’t really come close to the others, and they don’t help you set up the store. Bearface general store are a local design collective, they sell stickers and patches with a similar collective model, but don’t have the fundraising angle.
Could potentially use printify to get a higher profit margin on DTG printing than tee spring etc for the artists we want to work with, and set up independent shops thru the platform as well. but the local ones might have better prices.

This is a manufacturing business providing handcrafted leather goods to a wholesale and online market.

At this time there are a lot of similar businesses in the market who have established themselves as a brand name (e.g. Roots) which carry similar product. As well there are various independent leather crafters who have begun accessing the online market. At this time there are no known competitors leaving the market.

There are currently no regulations that will affect the way that this business in run in any way other than what is outlined in the business plan.

Strengths: Well established. Well marketed. Carry factory and retail quality to meet two income levels of potential clients. Retail leather products are made exclusively in Canada from high end materials.
Weaknesses: Do not offer custom orders. Poor return policy. Do not back up their products (do not offer repairs). Factory quality products are very poor. Retail quality leather have a higher price than Sadelmager’s proposed prices.

If we ignore the “games based” and PDT part of this business, and call it “dog training” the field widens significantly.

Major pet stores in large cities generally offer training, as well as dog training being a majority unregulated industry in Canada.

In my immediate area there is Love 2 Play training (my mentor), Paw & Order, Barks and Recreation, The Spotted Ear, and a few others that are not showing up in yellow pages or google.

As for Pro Dog Trainers ™ and Pro Dog Partners, there is no current accurate count but in my area there are very few PDTs other than Love2Play.
